March 20th marks the National Proposal Day! To celebrate I thought this blog post would be appropriate. Below are some of the awesome surprise proposals I've been lucky to photography in 2014. Enjoy!
Jessie and Doan's sweet engagement was on the beach at Sutro Baths. They had dined at a Chinese restaurant the evening before where Jessie had a custom cookie made with a note reading "Doan, will you marry me?" inside. He told her to save her cookie until their walk on the beach. This lovely couple were vacationing in San Francisco from Scottsdale, Arizona when Jessie surprised Doan with this jaw dropping heart shaped diamond. Needless to say Doan was ecstatic with happiness and had no idea I was photographing the whole time.
Not only did Sheldon surprise Brittany with a romantic proposal on a sunset sail around the Bay of San Francisco and hiring me to document the proposal, he flew her whole family from Texas to witness and celebrate their engagement. The sail was organized through the San Francisco Sailing company, they have a great 2 hour sunset sail that leaves from Pier 39, sailing over to Alcatraz, Angel Island, Golden Gate Bridge, and then right down the city front.
Mike romantically proposed to Janell while on their hike in San Francisco whilst visiting the city from LA. Janell had no idea what Mike had planned and couldn't believe the moment was also captured by me. The lovely couple are now planning their Spring 2016 wedding in Mexico that I can't wait to photograph.
Jay choose to propose to Angie on Pier 14 on the Embarcadero. Sweeping views across the San Francisco bay towards treasure Island. At night, this pier has the best views for the Bay Bridge lights. Pier 14 also has great views of downtown without the crowds on Pier 7.
